Bosch Rexroth Accumulators

Bosch Rexroth Hydraulic Accumulators save energy and improve manufacturing efficiency by using the accumulator as a storage device to store hydraulic pump output flow when system demand is low and supplement output when demand is high.

Bosch Rexroth Hydraulic Accumulators are used to:

  • Store power for intermittent duty cycles, economizing hydraulic pump drive power
  • Provide emergency or standby power
  • Compensate for leakage loss
  • Provide suspension in vehicles
  • Dampen pulsations and shocks of a periodic nature

Neilson Hydraulics supplies Bosch Rexroth Diaphragm-type Accumulators (HAD) and Bosch Rexroth Bladder-type Accumulators (HAB)

Diaphragm-type Accumulators are used for energy storage, shock and vibration absorption, and leakage oil compensation or volume compensation in hydraulic systems. They consist of a pressure-resistant vessel (high-tensile steel) whose interior is split into a gas and fluid side by an elastic diaphragm.

When the operating pressure is increased, hydraulic fluid flows into the accumulator and compresses the gas until the gas pressure is identical to the fluid pressure. When the operating pressure is reduced, the gas expands again and feeds the hydraulic system with hydraulic fluid.

Bosch Rexroth Diaphragm-type Accumulators (HAD) are available in the following:

  • Nominal volume 0.075… 3.5 litres
  • Component series 1X, 2X
  • Maximum operating pressure 350 bar

Key features of the Bosch Rexroth Diaphragm-type Accumulators (HAD) include:

  • Hydraulic accumulator as per Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC
  • Diaphragm material for different applications
  • Use e.g. as energy storage in intermittent operation systems, energy reserve for emergencies, compensation of leakage losses, shock and vibration absorption

Bladder-type Accumulators are used for energy storage, shock and vibration absorption, and leakage oil compensation or volume compensation in hydraulic systems. They consist of a seamless pressure vessel (high-tensile steel) whose interior is split into a gas and a fluid side by an elastic bladder. When the operating pressure is increased, hydraulic fluid flows into the accumulator and compresses the gas in the bladder until the gas pressure is identical to fluid pressure. When the operating pressure is reduced, the gas expands again and feeds the hydraulic system with hydraulic fluid.

Bosch Rexroth Bladder-type Accumulators (HAB) are available in the following:

  • Nominal volume 1…50 litres
  • Component series 4X
  • Maximum operating pressure 350 bar

Key features of the Bosch Rexroth Bladder-type Accumulators (HAB) include:

  • Hydraulic accumulator as per Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC
  • Bladder material for different applications
  • Use e.g. as energy storage in intermittent operation systems, energy reserve for emergencies, compensation of leakage losses, shock and vibration absorption
