What Is A Cetop Valve?

What is a CETOP Valve?

A CETOP hydraulic directional control valve allows fluid to flow into different paths from single or multiple sources. They are often made up of a spool inside a mechanically or electrically controlled cylinder. The movement of the spool checks or permits movement, thus controlling fluid flow.

CETOP is actually an abbreviation of Comité Européen des Transmissions Oléohydrauliques et Pneumatiques in which CETOP is the European Fluid Power Committee.

Thus, it is:

  • The communication platform for fluid power in Europe.
  • The international umbrella organisation and communication platform for the fluid power associations in Europe.

CETOP Valves Different Controls

CETOP Valves can be supplied with different control options:

  • Manual control
  • Electric on/off control
  • Proportional electric control
  • Pneumatic control
  • Hydraulic control
  • Mechanical control
